Fakiragram College was established on 1st July, 1994 at the premises of Fakiragram Higher Secondary School Campus. The college started with a small number of students and has grown steadily over the years.

It is affiliated with Gauhati University / Bodoland University and recognized by UGC, New Delhi under sections 2(F) & 12(B) in the years 2007 and 2009 respectively.
