Fakiragram College was accorded the Govt. Concurrence in 2001 and was brought under Deficit Grant-in-Aid System by the B.T.C. Govt. w.e.f. 01.01.2009. The UGC enlisted the College u/s 2(f) and 12(B) of the UGC Act  in 2007 and 2009 respectively. Fakiragram College has been provincilised  w.e.f. 01.01.2013. From a tiny sapling the College has grown into a giant tree of knowledge standing high and erect and spreading its leaves and branches over the nooks and crannies of Fakiragram and its adjoining areas. University results reveals academic excellence attained by the students who are equally proficient in extra curricular activities. Stress is laid on character building and all round development of the student’s personality.

The College authority is fully aware  in providing full facilities to the students. It will not be out of place to mention here that there is a good number of scholars among the teaching staff in different departments of the College .
