About the Department

The Department of Assamese came into existence with the establishment of the College in 1994. The department has been rendering its services incessantly by offering BA programme under Gauhati University as well as Bodoland University.

The college offers both Honours and Regular undergraduate courses under CBCS mode of curriculum under Gauhati University and Bodoland University.

The Department started offering Major Course in B.A. with due permission and concurrence from 1995-96 and 2001 respectively. The department provides the best teaching and guidance using conventional tools by experienced faculty members.

Academic Collaboration (MoU)

The Department has concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Assamese, Swami Yoganandagiri College Sakti Ashram, for student and teacher exchange programmes.

This initiative promotes sharing of knowledge, dissemination of ideas, and academic enrichment among students and faculty members.
