About the Department

The Department of English, Fakiragram College came into force on 1st July, 1994. Since its establishment, the department has been offering regular undergraduate courses including Alternative English under its affiliating university.

In the year 2011, the department introduced Honours Course in English for interested students. Since then, many students have successfully completed their graduation with excellent academic performance.

Academic Activities

• Conducts regular undergraduate courses including Alternative English.

• Organizes seminars, workshops and academic discussions.
• Departmental seminars among students are conducted periodically.

Faculty Strength

The Department currently has three faculty members serving as regular employees. Among them, two faculty members are Ph.D. holders and one faculty member is pursuing Ph.D.. The faculty members are actively engaged in innovative academic practices including seminars, workshops, and other scholarly activities.
