About the Department

The Department of Tourism and Travel Management (TTM), Fakiragram College offers undergraduate Regular Courses. The course was initially affiliated under Gauhati University since its inception and currently follows the curriculum prescribed by Bodoland University, Kokrajhar, BTR, Assam.

The syllabus of the course follows the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) ensuring academic flexibility and updated learning in the field of tourism and travel management.

About the Department

The Department of Political Science, Fakiragram College came into existence with the establishment of the college in 1994. Since then, the department has been offering undergraduate courses in Political Science under Gauhati University and later under Bodoland University.

The department offers both Honours and Regular courses in Political Science under the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS). The department started offering the Major course in B.A. with due permission from the session 1995–96 and concurrence in the year 2001.

Teaching & Learning Practices

  • Offers BA Honours and Regular courses in Political Science.
  • Teaching is conducted using both conventional and ICT-based methods.
  • Faculty members provide academic guidance and mentorship to students.
  • Focus on developing analytical thinking and understanding of political systems.

Academic Collaboration

The Department has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Department of Political Science, Sapatgram College for faculty and student exchange programmes. The purpose of this collaboration is to promote academic interaction, exchange of ideas, and dissemination of knowledge among students.
